FIM Hard Enduro Set For Four Tough Days Of Racing In Serbia

  • News

The stage is set for round two of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, the Xross Hard Enduro Rally in Serbia. With the world’s top Hard Enduro riders all assembled in Zlatibor, over 300 kilometres of racing across four days await the strong entry of international riders.

  • Racing at the Xross Hard Enduro Rally begins on Wednesday May 18

  • Competitors will ride 300+ kilometres during the four days of competition

  • Zlatibor will act as the race hub for round two

Although new to the 2022 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, the Xross Hard Enduro Rally has established a strong history since its first edition back in 2014. Quickly going from strength-to-strength, the race expanded to take in the Kopaonik, Mount Tara, and Mokra Gora mountains, with the race headquarters and paddock now held in Zlatibor.

For 2022, the addition of Xross Hard Enduro Rally to the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship also establishes it as the first world championship-level motorsport event to be held in Serbia.

Racing begins on Wednesday May 18 with the Akrapovic Straight Rhythm prologue. Certain to deliver an exciting start to the proceedings, the results of the prologue will also determine the starting order for the first full day of racing, on Thursday.

Sure to please the large contingent of Hobby and Amateur riders also entered, the opening day in the mountains will comprise of mostly Enduro terrain. However, with 100-kilometres of riding to complete, it will be much more than an ‘easy warm up’ for all.

The riding steps up a notch when things get a little more serious on Friday for the first of the two 100-kilometre long Hard Enduro days. The Serbian mountains are sure to flex their muscles as they push riders and their machines to the maximum.

With no easy ride to the finish line, Saturday’s final day of racing is set to be epic. More rugged mountain peaks and formidable forest climbs await. Whoever claims the top step of the podium at round two will have earned it.

Round two of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship takes place at Serbia’s Xross Hard Enduro Rally on May 18-21.
