Promoting young talent, round two of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship in Serbia on May 18-21 will mark the first race of the newly introduced FIM Hard Enduro Junior World Cup.

A new addition to the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, the FIM Hard Enduro Junior World Cup is designed to give up-and-coming young talent their own championship to compete in, within the Pro class.

Open to riders under the age of 22 (on January 1) the Junior class will help raise the profile of young Hard Enduro competitors within the sport. Integrating it into the Pro class allows them to race side-by-side with the world’s best on the same tracks at the same time, while also battling for a position in the overall championship standings too.

For 2022, riders will score points at their four best performing events on European soil, with Serbia’s Xross Hard Enduro Rally kicking things off. Subsequent rounds include Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, Red Bull Abestone, Red Bull Romaniacs and Hixpania Hard Enduro.

Already 14 riders are entered into the 2022 series with competitors from Israel, South Africa, and Georgia competing alongside a European-based majority.

After a strong showing among the Pros at round one’s Minus 400, AG Racing Team 89’s Suff Sella will look to establish himself as a title contender in Serbia alongside teammate Marc Fernandez. South Africa’s Matt Green already has a strong Hard Enduro pedigree and is aiming to put his Rigo Racing machine on the top step of the podium.

The FIM Hard Enduro Junior World Cup begins at the Xross Hard Enduro Rally in Serbia.
